Bermuda Grass Seed
Bermuda grass seeds are commonly used to produce a tough vibrant looking lawn, the seeds are very easy to use to grow your own lawn due to the fact it will grow in different kinds of soil.
The bermuda grass seed is found on sports fields, golf courses, and home gardens all over the world, although this kind of seed is generally considered to be a warmer southern climate mix.
It is drought resistent and prefers long hot sunny days to thrive, it is also a very hard wearing grass, this is why golf courses like to use a lot of it in course design.
There are downsides to using this sort of seed for your lawn, the first one is if the temperature suddenly turns very cold for a period of time it can cause the turf to turn brown, also it is an extremely aggressive kind of grass and can soon over run other areas if not kept in check.
The bermuda can build a high quality turf when seeded correctly and will grow reasonably quickly also, but there are some new hybrid varieties of seed that seem to be more superior than the ordinary bermuda grass.
Planting the seeds is very much the same as any other grass, the area where you live is probably the most important aspect of wether you should plant bermuda grass seed.
Remembering that the bermuda seed thrives better in a hot warm climate than in a cooler climate, once the bermuda grass seed is established in your garden there is no doubt the bermuda will give you a vibrant colour of green looking grass to enjoy.
